A ton of fun work for Axel's debut in Apex Legends Season 29, a legend brought to life through a signature purple overheated look. With Darkmatter Agency, we created some of the most graphics I've ever made for the gameplay trailer.

This season, I also got to work on the bootflow alongside other animators for millions of players to see as they entered the game. Violent and intense, I had a lot of fun with this one.

End Cards

End cards built around a system-failure aesthetic screens that look like they're glitching out and falling apart. Pixel sorting became the core tool, pushed and refined to create that corruption look.

Text Animations

The text doesn't just appear it glitches into existence. Characters distort and reform through a constant pixel-sort boil, flickering with bursts of purple that echo Axel's overheated energy, like the type itself can barely hold together.

Transitions

Transitions for Apex Legends Season 29 tear the screen apart with footage ripping and displacing in jagged pink fractures, keeping the glitch language consistent from cut to cut.

Lower Thirds

Lower thirds built with the same rip-apart effect as the transitions pink, jagged, and torn into place, tying every on-screen element back to the season's glitched look.
